The harvest & The village feast (a pair)
Théobald Michau
Tournai 1676 - 1765 Antwerp
W x H
37 x 27cm
These two paintings on oak were painted by the Flemish painter Théobald Michau. Both paintings are in a very good condition. They are both fully signed as well. They represent the harvest and afterwards the village feast. First working, then playing.... The provenance of these two paintings are exquisite: On the back of each of the panels is a old label stating their provenance. This goes back to the 18th century when the Marquis d'Arcambal had them in his possession. Oil on panel. Signed lower right.
